Finishes 8

So I am still finishing up taking the pictures for part 2 of the Tutorial I posted on Tuesday.  We got a little bit sick over here so I am slow going on that, but there is no rush is there?  I thought I could get posted the projects I have finished from Monday and Tuesday work though.  I am very glad I went with this arrangement.  The finished quilt should be about 40" X 40" when all is said and done.

Squares & 4-patches:
This is the front.

This is the back

I used some of the left over 4-patches I had for the back.  There are still some left over blocks as well so I might make something of them.  I might have to purchase something for the binding as that black piece on the back is my last bit of solid black.  I do have just a touch of the dark pink dot fabric, but I am not sure if I should be looking for a different color and/or print for the binding.  My favorite part about this quilt is that all the fabrics came from my stash!  This quilt shall get added to my Limbo pile.  It is working out great for me in that I am getting quilt tops and backs prepped even if I can't get Quilting them until I get more batting!  I cannot believe how much will get accomplished!

  1. I would never have put these fabrics together, but I absolutely love your end result! It's so bold, I keep scrolling back up to stare at it :) I really like that you put the mustard yellow in the mix, really really like that.

    1. Thank you! There are tiny little yellow petals on the turquoise-ish fabric. I chose to use the fabrics because I randomly had the fabric! I think I had purchased the main print to make a skirt like 7 years ago! Thanks for the compliments!

  2. The black outlines are so striking. I really like the pops of color and how the eye moves across the quilt top.

    1. Thanks so much! the design was mostly accidental I have to admit. My goal was/is mainly to find a way to use up scraps and my stash! I sincerely appreciate the compliments!
